Helpful Tips and Caring for all Your Pets

The photo above is a few of the birds we used to breed. We had finches Weiros, Ringneck Parrots, King Parrots and many others.  Then when we sold our house and decided to go travelling, we had to leave them all behind.  I still miss them but satisfy myself watching all the birds in nature now. If you are thinking of having a bird aviary, no one as complicated as the one we had. We have travelled for years on and off in a caravan around Australia a few times and yes, we have seen people successfully travelling with cats. Some actually walk them on leads, the same way that you walk a dog.  Be Prepared  Before you even think of travelling anywhere with a cat, have him checked out with your local Vet. Make sure it is fully vaccinated.  So you have decided to get a dog. Or maybe you had to sadly say goodbye to your much-loved dog.  Whichever the case, you need to find the right dog especially for you. My Beautiful Dogs - Keizer and Titan. If you are like us when we lost our beloved Titan, we were in our 70's and thought we were too old to bring another fur baby into our home. When travelling with a dog we have to think about his pleasure too.  Normally he just sits in the car and goes to sleep, so we need to get him active too otherwise like us his waistline will grow.  Our dogs loves running around throwing his  fury squeaky toy  up in the air and making it squeak. Exercise balls on a rope are a great way to get your fury friend active. If you tie a short piece of elastic onto the rope then tie it to a tree it will keep him amused for ages as he will pull on it then when he lets go it will bounce away. This will encourage him to chase after it.  Beware do not put this anywhere near windows or humans they may get hurt or damaged.  The different colours also attract their attention. Now this is a really great idea.  It will not only stimulate your dogs' brain as it tries to get the treat dispensing toy.  These dog puzzles are fun but at the same time they also strengthen and keep him busy from becoming destructive.  We have to be careful these days what we eat with so many different chemicals and poisons in our foods. And now they are saying about all the plastics we are eating it just never stops eh! Thats why I decided to cook all our dogs' food and treats. At least that way I will know most of the things that are in his treats and food. Remember that dogs still need exercise as well as great food Homemade Peanut butter and Bacon Dog treats. Ingredients: 1 Cup Smooth P/nut paste ( not crunchy) ¾ cup Non fat milk 1 large egg 2 cups whole wheat flour 1 tablespoon Baking powder 1/3 cup oats rolled or quick oats 2-3 strips bacon. Chopped. Method: Instead of wheat flour (I could not find it) so I used 1 cup SR Flour and either 1 cup bran or wheat germ. I always doubled these amounts so do not have to keep cooking them.  Have you ever seen cars travelling down the road with a dog's head hanging out the window? What do you think the wind racing past is doing to that beautiful dog? #Dangers The wind must feel wonderful for the dog as it rushes past. That is wrong.  The wind can damage both the dog's eyes and ears.  They can get windburn, and that hurts.  I know they cannot tell us, but it does hurt, so next time you put your dog in the car remember not to have the window down too far to prevent the dog putting his head out. Another danger is the fact that he could also jump out of a moving car.  If your dog is in a harness and fixed into a seat belt, then this cannot happen. He will also be safe and not become a flying missile if the person suddenly brakes.
